What was the grit used at the very beginning? Also, I noticed that you didn't use any water at the beginning. Why not? Thanks.
The first step was to use an angle grinder to smooth out the big cracks and holes. Then I change to the water driven polisher. The angle grinder has diamond wheel used to grind quickly.

The same covers also fit inside an MJR cap perfectly. I use the 3 pound barrel covers everywhere.

Hi Elmer. Lunar meteorites. Lots of them. Check out a couple of my slideshows. Glass on the surface if you look with microscope. Might be hard to see if it's been tumbling.

Hi. What is your criteria for deciding to use either 8000 or 12000 grit polish?
Very cool. I'm with you on your assortments of rocks. Like you I polish the rocks that most people would pass by for one reason or another but they usually turn out to be interesting and beautiful. Thanks for your videos.
Lucky me I have a billion rocks to choose from. And many different kinds.
Beautiful rocks. I think I too might get 30 grit for stage 1 for rocks that are hard, 6.75 and higher.
